A notary public is a public official appointed by the state government to witness and certify the signing of legal documents.  The notary is certifying the signature of the signer, not the validity of the document itself.

Yes, West Broward Notary is insured for errors and omissions to protect our clients in case of any mistakes or errors during the notarization process.

No.  The state of Florida prohibits us from notarizing vital records such as birth, marriage or death certificates.  What we CAN do however, is notarize an affidavit signed by you under oath stating that this is a copy of your vital record / certificate.

Alternatively, you can request an official certified copy from the FL Vital Records office.

In Florida, we cannot notarize an original passport, but you are allowed to notarize a copy of it. You will need to present the original passport and a clear, color photocopy of the photo page of the passport.

This is a common mistake, but you should not sign ahead of time.  Most documents need to be signed in front of the notary, and you must present a valid ID at the time of the signing.
