Before Scheduling an Appointment
Please confirm the following before the notary arrives:
✓ The document is complete and ready for signing. Do not sign unless the document preparer or receiving agency has confirmed that you may sign before the appointment.
✓ The signer has an original form of identification acceptable under Florida law. Please contact me before scheduling if the signer's identification is unavailable or expired.
✓ The signer is alert, willing and able to communicate
✓ Any required witnesses have been confirmed
✓ The facility permits access at the requested appointment time
A notary cannot prepare legal documents, choose the required notarial act, provide legal advise, or make a medical or legal determination of capacity. If the signer cannot communicate clearly or does not appear willing and aware, the notarization may not be completed.
